Welcome to
our Llama page
Llamas are a South
American member of the camelid family. Used by the natives
of Bolivia and Peru for centuries both for packing and their fine fiber,
the llama has only become popular in North America within the past
few years.
Today, llamas are
prized not only for their fiber and packing abilities, but also
for their ability to protect livestock from predators such as
coyotes, stray dogs and other wild animals. Rather than
flee, llamas will stand together and face their attackers, kicking
with their front, and when that fails, they can use their hind
legs with deadly accuracy. Llamas also make a warning call
that can be heard for great distances.

Our reasons for getting llamas were for none of
the above reasons - we simply fell in love with their graceful and
quiet demeanor almost 20 years ago and patiently waited for the
day when circumstances would permit us to have llamas of our own.
It wasn't long before one llama turned to 5 and five to 25!
We currently have some good llamas for sale - breeding stock, fiber producers, pets and livestock guardians.
These include several adult proven females bred for 2008 crias,
mother/son pair with mother rebred for June 2008, super fine
fibered 3 year old unbred female, proven adult male breeder
producing 50% + appaloosa coloring. Contact us to find out more
